About Me
Hi, I’m Shazia, an experienced integrative therapist dedicated to supporting individuals and couples on their journey toward self-discovery and healing. I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), adhering to its ethical framework to ensure the highest standards of care. I specialise in Trauma and have worked extensively with clients struggling with PTSD, C-PTSD and childhood trauma.
Together, we’ll uncover what drives you, help you understand yourself better, and find ways to create a happier and more fulfilling life.
A Space for Everyone
I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experiences related to ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sexuality, trauma, phobias, or race. As an immigrant to the UK, I understand how it feels to be different, judged or misunderstood and I bring this personal insight into my practice.
You can always expect unconditional acceptance, open-mindedness and a genuine desire to understand your unique perspective.
My Training in Trauma
My passion lies in understanding the impact of trauma on the brain and behavior. I have completed several continuing professional development (CPD) courses, including:
-
Trauma-Informed Practice When Working with Complex PTSD
-
Trauma-Related Dissociation: Latest Research and Critical Insights
-
Trauma & Attachment: Interpersonal Neurobiology and the Traumatic Transference
-

What to expect
Consultation
A FREE no obligation 15 min phone or video call is offered to see if you feel comfortable with taking the next steps.
Booking a session
The in person sessions are available in Northwood in our comfortable therapy room. You can also select video sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Your first session
The session is a chance for your therapist to listen, understand your experiences, and explore your needs and goals, all in a comfortable, pressure-free space.
Ongoing sessions
Ongoing sessions are flexible and can be tailored to your needs—they may be weekly, spaced out over longer periods, or scheduled whenever you feel you need support. While weekly sessions are recommended to maximize the benefits, especially when working through trauma, the pace is entirely up to you. The focus is always on creating a supportive space that fits your journey and helps you work toward your goals at your own rhythm.
