About Me
Hi...
My name is Shazia and I am an experienced integrative therapist offering both online and in-person sessions in the Bushey, Watford, Rickmansworth, Pinner and surrounding areas. I am fully insured and a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.
I offer my clients a safe and confidential space to not only learn about themselves and understand "how they tick" but also find ways to live happier and more fulfilling lives. I specialise in trauma - PTSD and complex trauma and currently pursuing a PG Diploma in Traumatology.
My role will be to accompany you and support you on this journey of self discovery and self acceptance. I believe that we know ourselves best and by asking the right questions, encouraging you to reflect on your responses, explore how your past has impacted your present and help you find ways to make changes that you feel will have a positive impact on your emotions, behaviours and responses.
What makes me different?
I would say... it's that I care for and about every client. Within our free 15 min initial consultation, I am almost certain that you will experience me as warm, easy to talk to and empathic.
My clients are diverse, each with their own unique life experiences, whether it's ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sexuality, past or present trauma’s, phobias or race... that's just to name a few. As an immigrant to the UK, I have had first hand experiences and an understanding of how it can feel to be different. So I also understand how it feels to be judged or misunderstood.
As a therapeutic practitioner, I will always show empathy and I will never judge, that you can be assured of. What you will get is unconditional acceptance, open-mindedness and a desire to understand your experiences and perspectives.
I have a particular interest in trauma and its impact on people's responses and behaviours and have done several CPD courses in the area including:
